Black carbon micarta feels great. The organic texture of the scales balances perfectly with the 550HG Griptilian blade. They seem very rigid and durable. I can only imagine that they will take on more character over time. Luke really did an outstanding job on these scales. This is truly MY knife now. They look great (especially with the black Ritter Blade!), the micarta feels sturdy and has a nice natural texture, and the reptilian back spacer gives me confidence that my hand will never slip on to the blade. Above all, Luke was a pleasure to deal with. He was very helpful as I worked out exactly how I thought the prefect scales for a Ritter Griptilian should be. A+ service and product.
