Das Haddock von Böker schreit förmlich nach einem Aussehen, dass an Meer und Strand erinnert. Daher haben wir das G10 durch ein schönes Stück Holz ersetzt. Genau genommen Wüsteneisenholz. Die Maserung passt schön zum stonewash finish der Klinge, oder? Bei uns so zu haben!

Irgendwie kommt der Winter in Deutschland nicht so ganz auf Touren. Und weil es weder richtig warm noch richtig kalt ist, wollen wir einfach mal den Drang nach Sommerurlaub und Strand stillen. Wir machen das mit einem Stück Thuja, einem Anhänger aus Mexico und einem Subcom von Böker. Die 4mm dicke Schale verdeckt die Achse und gibt dem Subcom ein bisschen mehr Fülle in der Hand. Wem gefällt, das er hier sieht, der sollte sich die anderen Bilder nach dem Click ansehen.
Somehow Winter ain´t coming to Germany. Neither cold nor warm, so we think of summer vacation. . A beautiful piece of thuja wood, a coin from mexico and a Subcom by Böker is all you need to satisfy the urge to catch some summertime. Während des Umzuges mit Cuscadi hat eine Freundin uns eine super geile Lampe für´s Büro geschenkt…Da musste ich mich bedanken…zu meinem Glück ist sie ein riesen Angelfan und da dachte ich mir, dass Ihr ein Subcom bestimmt gute Dienste leisten kann.
Da sie unglaublich auf Pink und Glitzer steht, hab ich das zum Thema gemacht – Liebe Leser: Das Bonboncom!
While moving Cuscadi a good friend of ours got us a super light for the new office, so I had to say “thank you”. She loves to fish so i thought that a subcom could be a nice gadget for her. She loves pink so here it is: the bonboncom!

Vor einiger Zeit hab ich Andi Haas darum gebeten, mir für mein Subcom eine Klinge zu bauen. Das hat er auch, und was für eine….Ein Traum!!!
I asked Andi Haas, who did a beautiful Job on a Spyderco Lava to build a blade for my subcom. Last friday i got a package from Andi and he did an amazing job.

We worked on Kershaw´s “Segal”. After we removed the ray inlay we replaced it by a well marbled cocobolo.
The wooden inlay is a little thicker than the original inlay so we beveled the edges a bit.

Jetzt hat es ein paar Brüder.
“BUMBLEBEE” aus gelbem G10 und “ANGEL” aus weißem G11.
Beide scales sind dicker als die original Schalen und liegen schön satt in der Hand.
